Whiskey Bar/Speakeasy Themed 40th
Shared Affair were asked to create a menu for a 1920’s Speakeasy/Prohibition themed birthday party in Maroubra complete with cocktail bar and Whiskey tastings.
Our chef & stylist worked closely with the client to build a bespoke 1920’s menu with a modern twist. We decided on refined versions of Italian-American classics including burger sliders, truffled Mac’n’cheese and our famous Paella Arrancini balls. #yum!!! Our stylist conceptualised styling elements, hiring props, coordinating setup, delivery and cleaning. The night was a massive success with the party still pumping and cocktails still flowing at 4am!

Saffron and prawn risotto Arancini balls stuffed with mozzarella served with garlic aioli.
Oysters topped with eschalot vinaigrette.
Smoked salmon and feta frittatas topped with dill Crème fraîche.
8 hours slow roast pulled pork sliders with chipotle slaw.
Mini Italian meatballs in Nonna’s sauce served in bamboo shot glasses.
Caprese Salad – Buffalo Bocconcini, tomato, basil and balsamic reduction on a garlic crostini
BLT’s – Bacon Jam, Cos lettuce, tomato and garlic aioli on a mini brioche bun
Truffled Mac’n’Cheese – Little bamboo boats of Macaroni with 3 cheese sauce and fresh truffle topped with prosciutto crumb
Mini boxes of Tagliatelle with lamb ragu with shaved Pecorino
Steak and chips – cube of grilled New york wagu steak topped with caramelised onion jam and garnished with mini French fries.
